Abi Wade’s latest single gets a remix courtesy of electronic artist BABii, layering the vocals and giving the track a colder, starker feel with crashing beats before the track closes with the string section laid bare.

Abi says of the remix “I have known BABii for quite some time, we have shared the stage together and I have always admired her work, so it is great to finally be merging our musical creations”.

BABii is a UK-based musician and producer who has just finished a tour supporting Iglooghost. She first came to the attention of the wider world at the end of the summer when Iglooghost featured some of her tracks on a Radio 1 mix he did for Diplo & Friends. BABii says of the remix: “I went to an ice shrine and made it sound like an ice world. It's the first ever remix I have ever done.”

Abi continues “I am super happy with the remix, I wrote the piece with the imagery of the fens as it’s creative nucleus. A barren and flat but beautiful landscape full of rich black soil where I grew up. Although I never mentioned this to BABii it’s interesting she also envisioned a vast and barren landscape for the music; but her version is white ice instead of black earth!”
